In a previous blog, I mentioned the movement to M-Learning with personal devices—phones, tablets, eReaders. The BYOD movement is getting not only a toehold in training venues but also in the office. Of necessity, workplaces are revisiting policies and permissions concerning employees’ using personal devices to get their work done. The article cited below references a survey that indicates “by 2014, 80% of the global workforce will be eligible to participate in a BYOD program.” Such statistics give a resounding “Yes!” to flexibility, connectivity, and productivity while IT administrators choke upon the challenges of creating and implementing new guidelines and infrastructures.
